Fall Adult Program Begins September 10th!

Our Adult Program Classes resume on Tuesday, September 10th.
All classes are at Grandview Heights Community Hall 12603 63 Avenue.

Training for students currently ranked White, Yellow, Orange, and Green, and Blue is on Friday evenings from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM, and on Sunday evenings from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.  This term will conclude with our annual adult winter grading in December.

Training for students currently ranked Blue, Brown, and Black is on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM, and on Friday evenings from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM.  These ranks are also welcome to train during the introductory classes on Friday and Sunday, as listed above.  This term will conclude with our annual adult winter grading in December.

We require that all students (new and returning) complete our registration process.

Summer Training/Fitness Testing

It has been an incredibly exciting term, and a fantastic year for the Bushido Karate Association. 
Thank you for all your support, and congratulations on a fantastic year of training.

SPRING FITNESS TESTING 2019 (ALL TEEN/ADULT MEMBERS)
With the gradings behind us, we are almost through all of our events!  Our final event is fitness testing this Friday, May 17th at the Grandview dojo.
The event will run for three hours, from 6PM-9PM.  Attendance is highly encouraged!  More information to follow for that event.

SUMMER TRAINING 2019 (ALL TEEN/ADULT MEMBERS)
Our summer schedule begins tonight at the Grandview dojo.  Classes will run over the summer on Tuesdays and Fridays at 6:30PM-8:30PM.
The Sunday kyu belt introductory class will be discontinued until September.  All ranks are welcome to train and attend classes on Tuesday and Friday nights.

The summer term is designed to allow students to explore other concepts integral to your success in karate in greater depth. 
This includes a heavier focus on self protection skills, some throwing/takedowns, and plenty of other exciting topics!  Attendance is encouraged for all ranks.

Registration for the summer term is due.  Please see Sensei Scott to take care of summer fees.

Club Members, the Shintani Team will be training at the Grandview dojo this coming weekend!

Sunday, March 31, 12:00 – 5 pm at Grandview

• Sensei Heather and Sensei Michel Gosselin will be in attendance
• The SWKKF Shintani Team will be visiting Edmonton at the end of March, and the BKA is pleased to offer them access to the dojo during the week-end.

Youth Spring Term Starts January 8th!

Our Youth Program Classes resume on Tuesday, January 8th (and Saturday, January 12th).
All classes are at Grandview Heights Community Hall 12603 63 Avenue.

Training for students currently ranked White, White Stripe, Yellow, and Yellow Stripe is on Saturday mornings from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM, and on Tuesdays evenings from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM.  This term will conclude with our annual youth spring grading in April.

Training for students currently ranked Orange, Orange Stripe, Green, Green Stripe, Blue, and Blue Stripe is on Saturday mornings from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM, and on Tuesdays evenings from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM.  This term will conclude with our annual youth spring grading in April.
Note: The minimum age to attend BKA classes is 6 years.
Note: Parents can train for free during the youth class.  You’ll receive instruction in the same techniques, and this offers a unique perspective for you as a parent into the experience and skills your child is building.

The fees for the term are due, and that covers training until the completion of the term in April.
This also gives your daughter or son access to training plus our Spring Club Tournament (in February) and finally, a term-ending grading.
